KJ File is an animated series set in a world where colossal monsters emerged globally in the early 20th century. Humanity abandoned hopes of total extermination and instead established the United Nations Kaiju Observatory—a multinational research institute dedicated to monitoring and understanding these creatures. Led by the resolute Yuichiro Kaido, the organization assembles a diverse team of experts: Toji Kobayashi specializes in monster ecology, Claire Coleman in disaster prevention, Kenny Mikoshiba in strategic response, and Nikita Tarkovsky in long-term strategy. Younger researchers like Lulu de Picard pioneer monster linguistics while Guillermo Marquez advances monster life sciences. Together, this international ensemble analyzes hundreds of monsters and works toward a fragile coexistence between humanity and these powerful beings in an increasingly complex world.
