They champion Marxism as a path forward for China's salvation. The narrative culminates in the founding National Congress of the Communist Party of China, held aboard a vessel on Nanhu Lake, where thirteen delegates including Mao Zedong convene with a shared vision to reshape their country. The series traces the ideological awakening and political resolve of these pivotal figures at a crucial moment in modern Chinese history.
