King of the Jungle(2003)

King of the Jungle is an American reality series that aired on Animal Planet starting in fall 2003. The show pits twelve self-proclaimed animal experts against each other in a competition hosted by Jeff Corwin, with wildlife presenter Nigel Marven eliminating one contestant weekly. Despite criticism over inconsistent judging and content, the first season became a ratings success for the network. A second season followed in July 2004 with host Madison Michele, though it failed to match the original's viewership. A third season, King of the Jungle: Pairs, restructured the format around two-person teams and fourteen contestants, but received minimal promotion and struggled to find an audience before its quiet exit from the schedule.
