Ichibanboshi(1977)

Ichibanboshi is the 19th NHK Asadora, a serialized drama that chronicles the life of singer Chiyako Sato. Adapted from Yuki Ryoichi's novel "Aa Tokyo Koshinkyoku," the series follows Sato's journey through music and personal struggle in mid-20th century Japan. Michiko Godai took over the lead role two months into production when original star Haruna Takase fell ill, bringing her own interpretation to the character. The series captures the resilience and ambition of a woman navigating the entertainment industry during a transformative era in Japanese history.
