An August Night(2022)

An August Night is a drama series set in 1950s Greece that continues the story from The Island. When the leper colony on Spinalonga closes, the village gathers to celebrate freedom from disease and fear. The newly cured reunite with their healthy families in joyous reunion. But the festivities shatter when a husband murders his wife after discovering she was his best friend's lover. The crime fractures the community's newfound hope, forcing residents to confront jealousy, betrayal, and the darker impulses that linger even as physical illness fades. Amid the island's transformation, the killing becomes a reckoning with human nature itself.
