Japanese Style(2022)

Japanese Style follows 30-year-old Kakioka Tetsuro as he returns home after a decade away to rescue his family's traditional inn, Niji no Ya, when his father falls ill. He arrives to find the once-dignified establishment—boasting a century of heritage—in complete disarray, transformed into a chaotic workplace. The staff is a colorful cast of misfits: Terakado Lucy Kazuko, a sharp-tongued flamenco dancer; Kageshima Shunsaku, a germaphobe manager who despises hot springs; Asatsuki Momoyo, a devoted single mother working as head waitress; her son Ringoro, an eccentric employee obsessed with unicycles; Uno Kanata, a chef addicted to the card game UNO; and Umekoshi Hifuji, a loyal veteran who's worked there for four decades. Tetsuro must navigate this dysfunctional team and restore the inn's lost prestige while uncovering what went wrong during his absence.
