Superbook(1981)

Superbook is an anime series that brings Bible stories to life for young audiences. Originally produced by Tatsunoko Productions and the Christian Broadcasting Network, the show adapted Old and New Testament narratives across 52 episodes spanning 1981 to 1983. The first season ran from October 1981 through March 1982, followed by Superbook II a year later. Each episode follows characters as they journey through biblical events, combining adventure with religious education. The series became a foundational program for faith-based children's television, blending anime storytelling with Christian themes. The Christian Broadcasting Network has since revived the franchise with a contemporary reimagining, releasing new episodes for modern audiences while maintaining the original's educational mission.
