Aksentiev is a Russian crime series following two police officers, Katya and Kukharenko, who encounter a mysterious man at a bus stop with no memory of his past or identity. The 30-year-old Roma Aksentiev has just spent six months in hospital and remembers nothing—not his home, his family, or what came before. He possesses an unusual gift: touching someone's hands allows him to glimpse their past or future. As a serial killer called Vodyanoi begins drowning victims in local reservoirs, the officers realize Aksentiev's psychic abilities could prove invaluable to their investigation. Together they work to solve brutal cases while gradually uncovering the secrets behind Aksentiev's mysterious powers and fragmented past.
