Sukiyaki, Tonight(2023)

Sukiyaki, Tonight is a Japanese series about two women whose lives intersect at an unexpected moment. Aiko, an interior designer, excels at her job but struggles with housework and desperately wants marriage—a goal at odds with her boyfriend's vision of a traditional wife. Tomoko, a picture book author, is aromantic and skilled domestically, yet creatively blocked and unable to finish new work. When they reconnect at a high school classmate's wedding, an incident forces them to become roommates. As they navigate shared living space, their contrasting personalities and life goals create both friction and unexpected connection, exploring themes of identity, ambition, and what home really means.
