Ladies of Letters is a British comedy series following two middle-aged widows who forge an unlikely friendship through correspondence. After meeting drunk beneath a wedding table, Irene and Vera begin writing letters that chronicle years of mishaps, misunderstandings, and unexpected adventures. Their families act out the events described in the letters, playing out scenes across homes, prisons, and various chaotic locations.
