Maternity Leave Detective is a light mystery series following Akizuki Haruto, a police detective on childcare leave who solves crimes while caring for his infant son, Ren. When Haruto is taken hostage during a robbery, he uses his sharp observation skills to gather clues and secretly contact his police division for help. Balancing the tense situation with his parental duties—diaper changes, feeding times, and keeping Ren calm—Haruto discovers that fatherhood sharpens his detective instincts.
