Going Live!(1987)

Going Live! was a Saturday morning magazine show that aired on BBC1 from 1987 to 1993, hosted by Phillip Schofield and Sarah Greene. The programme featured a mix of music, comedy sketches, games, and celebrity guests, with support from presenters Trevor and Simon, Peter Simon, Emma Forbes, and the puppet character Gordon the Gopher. The show ran seasonally from autumn through spring, with other programmes filling the summer slot. It followed Saturday Superstore and was succeeded by Live & Kicking. The series faced notable disruptions: in 1988, Greene was injured in a helicopter crash and required guest presenters including Carol Decker from T'Pau. During the final series in 1992–93, Schofield's stage commitments to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat meant substitute hosts took over, including brief appearances from Shane Richie and a young Robbie Williams.
