Letter from the Sun(2023)

Letter from the Sun is a series about grief, connection, and the threads that bind us across borders. After his mother Ayako's death, Takumi inherits a mysterious Lygodium box containing a letter addressed to someone named Wira. Compelled to return it, he travels from Japan to Thailand, where he meets Lita, Wira's daughter, and uncovers a poignant history: years earlier, his mother had studied the traditional art of Lygodium weaving with Wira, and the two women formed a deep bond before Ayako returned to Japan, leaving Wira heartbroken. As Takumi pieces together their forgotten friendship, he begins to reconsider his own relationships and what it means to honor the people we've lost.
