Rebirth is a Brazilian drama series that follows José Inocêncio, a legendary cocoa farmer who rises to prominence after a pact with the mystical Jequitibá. His passionate marriage to Maria Santa produces four sons, but her death in childbirth leaves him consumed by grief and rage—emotions he directs at his youngest, João Pedro, whom he blames for the tragedy.
