Sisterhood is a historical drama set in 1930s Southeast Asia, following two women who emigrate from Guangdong to build new lives in the Nanyang region. Ouyang Tian Qing becomes a construction laborer and leader among her peers, caught between the affections of a wealthy man and a poor soldier. Her companion Kuang Cai Yun takes work as a nanny but endures mistreatment from her employer's family, separated from the man she loves when he leaves to study abroad. As Japanese forces occupy the region, Tian Qing is forced into labor building a military shrine. When her former suitor returns as a rebel fighter, he leads a daring rescue that destroys the shrine. The series traces how these women navigate love, survival, and loyalty amid war and displacement, ultimately waiting for reunion with those they've lost.
