Oyaji Daiko is a Japanese series following the Tsuru family, a household of nine headed by Kamejiro, a self-made construction magnate with an iron-fisted approach to family life. His wife Aiko embodies the traditional devoted homemaker, while their children live in fear of their father's explosive temper and domineering presence. The family nickname for him—"Oyaji Daiko," meaning "old man's drum"—reflects how his thunderous outbursts reverberate through their home each week.
