Ganbare!! Robocon(1974)

Ganbare!! Robocon is a Japanese tokusatsu comedy series created by Shotaro Ishinomori and produced by Toei. The original run aired from 1974 to 1977, following Robocon, a clumsy robot student at Gantz' Robot Academy who lives among humans to complete his studies. Despite his frequent mishaps, Robocon works hard to prove that robots deserve respect and trust. A revival series, Moero!! Robocon, aired from 1999 to 2000, bringing the character back for a new generation. The two eras collided in a direct-to-video film released in December 1999, where the 1990s Robocon met his original 1970s counterpart. Blending slapstick humor with heartfelt moments about acceptance and friendship, Ganbare!! Robocon remains a beloved family classic that defined robot comedy in Japanese television.
