Neighbour(2023)

Neighbour is a Russian drama series following Fyodor Sadovsky, a meticulous 35-year-old businessman who transformed his obsession with cleanliness into a thriving cleaning company. Despite professional success, Fyodor remains trapped in the shadow of his father, a celebrated Soviet cosmonaut commemorated by a plaque on their Moscow apartment building. Isolated and emotionally guarded, Fyodor has built a rigid, solitary existence—his only social anchors are weekly visits from his mother on Wednesdays and occasional time with his sole friend Borya on Saturdays. The series explores how ambition and perfectionism can become prisons, and whether Fyodor can break free from inherited expectations and familial legacy to forge genuine human connection.
