Shotengai no Pianist: Towa no Shirabe is a Japanese series about grief, music, and unexpected connections in a small shopping district. Mizusaki Keita, a French restaurant chef, transforms his late wife's piano into a street instrument as a way to process her death, supported by Miho, a pastry chef apprentice. When renowned pianist Imanishi Kohei mysteriously arrives to play the street piano, his perfect rendition of "Nocturne" raises questions about his sudden appearance. As the piano becomes a gathering place in the restaurant, it draws together strangers and locals whose lives intersect through music and shared moments of vulnerability.
