We're on it, Comrades! is a Czech series set in the 1980s that follows David, a cynical paranormal investigator who'd rather avoid work, and Vojta, his earnest new partner who believes science has mysteries left to solve. Assigned to probe bizarre cases that baffle the state's security forces, the mismatched duo clash constantly—David prefers listening to rare vinyl records in his office, while Vojta pushes for genuine investigation. Their reluctant partnership grows more complicated when two StB agents, the stern Snížková and the gentler Hora, shadow their every move. Dark comedy unfolds as this unlikely team navigates supernatural cases, Cold War bureaucracy, and each other's incompatible worldviews. The series balances paranoia and absurdism as David and Vojta stumble through investigations neither truly wants to pursue.
