Our Master, Al Sayed is a 1940s-set drama following Abd Rabbo, an irrigation inspector who arrives in the remote village of Al-Sayed in Upper Egypt. There he encounters Master Fadloun, a powerful figure who commands absolute control over the village and its inhabitants. As Abd Rabbo documents his experiences, he becomes increasingly fascinated by the enigmatic Fadloun and the intricate social dynamics that govern village life. Through his written observations, Abd Rabbo uncovers the tensions between modernization and tradition, authority and resistance, gradually revealing the complex web of relationships that bind the community together. The series explores themes of power, corruption, and the clash between an outsider's perspective and entrenched local hierarchies in rural Egypt during a transformative historical period.
