Xiangbei Regret is a Chinese drama following photographer Mo Xiangbei, whose life unravels when her boyfriend Mu Yinan prioritizes his career over their relationship and impending parenthood. Pregnant and increasingly suspicious of his absences, Mo Xiangbei faces devastating loss—first her mother, then her unborn child. Broken and adrift, she abandons her former life to start fresh in Dali, opening a small inn called "Regret." There, among new surroundings and strangers, Mo Xiangbei slowly rebuilds herself, discovering resilience and purpose through solitude and reflection. The series explores themes of grief, abandonment, and personal transformation as she learns to heal from heartbreak and reclaim her identity.
