In late 1920s Shanghai, Cai Zekang, a young man from Ningde, enrolls at Tongji University while secretly pursuing Communist Party membership. After joining under the alias Cai Wei, he's assigned to establish a clandestine radio station in the Eyuwan Soviet area. There he becomes a vital communications operator for the Red Fourth Front Army, training new recruits and leveraging his mathematical expertise to transmit intelligence that proves crucial to the Red Army's survival during a pivotal moment in Chinese history. 破密 traces his transformation from idealistic student to indispensable spy, navigating the dangers of underground resistance work amid political upheaval and constant threat of discovery.
