Loriot is a classic German comedy series that aired from 1976 to 1978, produced by Radio Bremen. The six episodes showcase sketches and cartoons created by and starring Loriot, with several becoming cult favorites. During the 1990s, the original material was recut into 14 programs of 25 minutes each, expanded with additional television work featuring the comedian. In 2007, the six original episodes were released on DVD in their largely unaltered form as Loriot – The Complete Television Edition, preserving the series' distinctive blend of absurdist humor and visual comedy that defined German television comedy of its era.
