Sem Lenço, Sem Documento is a Brazilian series following four sisters—Cotinha, Das Graças, Rosário, and Dorzinha—who work as domestic servants in Rio de Janeiro. Navigating poverty and social inequality, the women confront the daily hardships of their profession while pursuing better futures for themselves. The series captures their resilience and bonds as they struggle against systemic barriers that limit their opportunities. Set against the backdrop of Rio's working-class neighborhoods, Sem Lenço, Sem Documento examines the lives of those often invisible in society, offering an intimate look at their hopes, challenges, and determination to improve their circumstances.
