Håkan Bråkan is a Swedish series that follows a family in crisis when Håkan's mother Karin suffers a breakdown in early December and is admitted to a psychiatric hospital. With Christmas approaching, the household falls into chaos. Håkan and his family must figure out how to manage the cleaning, decorating, and gift shopping on their own—and crucially, where the money will come from. The series explores how a family adapts when its primary caregiver suddenly disappears, forcing everyone to step up and discover their own capabilities during the most demanding time of year.
