Sturm kommt auf is a two-part German drama set in post-World War I Upper Bavaria, where political tensions fracture a small village. Julius Kraus, a solitary cobbler, becomes trapped between warring factions when his Jewish heritage surfaces, threatening his precarious place in the community. Based on Oskar Maria Graf's novel Unruhe um einen Friedfertigen—a landmark work of German-language exile literature—the series captures the rising antisemitism and ideological conflict of the Weimar era.
