The Informer(1966)

The Informer is a British crime drama series that aired on ITV between 1966 and 1967. Ian Hendry stars as Alex Lambert, a disbarred barrister forced to reinvent himself after disgrace. Lambert leverages his connections on both sides of the law, becoming a paid informer for insurance companies and earning a comfortable living from the rewards. He maintains a careful double life, posing as a business consultant to keep his wife and associates in the dark about his true activities. Created by John Whitney and Geoffrey Bellman, the series ran for two seasons across 21 episodes, though only two episodes survive today.
