Great Expectations(1999)

Great Expectations is a drama series following orphan Pip, who learns from lawyer Mr. Jaggers that a mysterious benefactor wants to transform him into a gentleman. Reunited with his childhood patron Miss Havisham and her beautiful ward Estella—his first love—Pip discovers a household twisted by old wounds. Miss Havisham, abandoned at the altar decades earlier, has descended into madness and deliberately shaped Estella into an emotionally cold heartbreaker. As Pip pursues his great expectations and romantic dreams, he must navigate the psychological damage of those around him and confront what it truly means to become a gentleman.
