Uprising(2001)

Uprising is a miniseries set in the Warsaw Ghetto following Nazi Germany's 1939 invasion of Poland. The story centers on Adam Czerniaków, head of the Judenrat—the Jewish council forced to administer the ghetto under German occupation. Czerniaków faces an impossible moral reckoning as he's compelled to carry out Nazi orders, including the deportation of ghetto residents to the Treblinka extermination camp. The series examines the agonizing choices and ethical compromises demanded of those caught between survival and complicity during one of history's darkest chapters.
