Adventures in Rainbow Country is a Canadian family drama that aired on CBC Television from 1970 to 1971, later finding new audiences on Nickelodeon in the early 1980s. Lois Maxwell stars as Nancy Williams, a widow raising her children in rural Northern Ontario while navigating the challenges of remote family life. The series follows Nancy and her son Billy as they interact with local characters including Pete Gawa, an Ojibwa friend, and bush pilot Dennis McGubgub. Filmed around Whitefish Falls near Espanola, with scenes shot across Birch Island and Manitoulin Island, the show captures the rugged beauty of Ontario's backcountry.
