Die Affäre Lerouge is a French crime drama set in 1860s Bougival, near Paris. When widow Lerouge is found stabbed to death, investigators uncover a dark secret from three decades earlier: as a wet nurse, she had switched the illegitimate son of Count Commarin with his legitimate heir. This revelation transforms Noel Gerdy, a lawyer who spent his life in poverty, into the count's true son—and the prime suspect in Lerouge's murder.
