Radiofieber(1989)

Radiofieber is a German historical drama set in Berlin during the turbulent years following World War I. Director Bredow of Telefunken pursues a revolutionary vision: developing radio technology capable of transmitting human voices, not just Morse code. When revolution erupts in 1918, his ambitions are sidelined. But by 1921, Bredow gains unexpected power as the government appoints him to control the nation's radio stations. Against this backdrop of political upheaval and technological change, the lives of ordinary Berliners intersect—including Kupinkes and her daughter Rosi, a revue dancer, alongside Sergeant Sterzel and recruit Hasso. The series explores how innovation and political authority reshape a fractured society struggling to rebuild itself.
