Queen of Morlum(2017)

Queen of Morlum is a Thai lakorn that follows a young woman's journey from rural poverty to Bangkok's music scene. After debt collectors brutally injure her father, leaving him blind, her mother leaves for the city to find work, abandoning the family to a family friend's care. Years later, the grown daughter travels to Bangkok searching for her mother, only to discover she's become a celebrated Morlum singer—a traditional Thai country music style. Unable to recognize each other, mother and daughter remain strangers. With help from a supportive man who becomes her romantic interest, the protagonist pursues a singing career of her own, hoping the spotlight will reunite her with her lost mother. The series blends family drama with music and romance against the backdrop of Thailand's vibrant Morlum culture.
