The Tenderfoot(1964)

The Tenderfoot is a Western series based on James H. Tevis' account of 1850s Arizona. A young man barely survives an Indian raid and seeks out frontier scout Mose Carson to learn the brutal ways of the frontier. Together they navigate the harsh desert landscape and hostile territory while pursuing a scheme to sell wild mustangs to the Army. Natural dangers and conflict with Native Americans test their resolve at every turn.
