Huo Yuanjia(2007)

Huo Yuanjia is a television series chronicling the life of the legendary Chinese martial artist Huo Yuanjia. The narrative weaves together his story with that of Chen Zhen, a fictional student who would later become the protagonist of the 1972 film Fist of Fury. Directed by Kuk Kwok-leung and starring Ekin Cheng, Jordan Chan, and Zhou Muyin, the series explores themes of martial mastery, honor, and resistance during a turbulent period in Chinese history. Released in 2007 and broadcast internationally the following year, Huo Yuanjia captures the rise of a martial arts icon while introducing the character who would define a generation of kung fu cinema. A sequel, Jingwu Chen Zhen, followed in late 2008 with Jordan Chan reprising his role as the legendary Chen Zhen.
