Jenny's War(1985)

Jenny's War is a 1985 British war series following a mother's desperate search for her son during World War II. After her boy is shot down over Germany, Jenny Baines refuses to accept he's dead and embarks on a dangerous mission to find him. Starring Dyan Cannon as Jenny alongside Nigel Hawthorne, Robert Hardy, Christopher Cazenove, and Hugh Grant, the four-part drama balances intimate family drama with the brutal realities of wartime. Adapted from Jack Stoneley's novel and directed by Steve Gethers, Jenny's War aired on ITV in the UK and was syndicated across America.
