This Is Your Life(1955)

This Is Your Life is a British biographical documentary series that adapted the 1952 American format. Eamonn Andrews hosted the show from 1955 to 1964, then again from 1969 until his death in 1987. Michael Aspel took over as presenter until the series ended in 2003, with a one-off special returning in 2007 hosted by Trevor McDonald. Each episode surprises a guest—celebrity or ordinary person alike—before the host guides them through their life story using the show's iconic red book. Originally broadcast live, This Is Your Life alternated between BBC and ITV throughout its long run, becoming a beloved fixture of British television that celebrated the remarkable journeys of its unsuspecting subjects.
