The Reputable Family(2010)

The Reputable Family is a 2010 South Korean historical drama that aired on KBS1 for 16 episodes. Starring Cha In-pyo and Han Go-eun, the series follows the Choi family, a prominent clan from Gyeongju, as they navigate upheaval during the second Manchu invasion of Korea. After the family patriarch Choi Jin-lip's death, his grandson Guk-seon leads the clan's fight to restore their honor and status. The family faces mounting challenges both in their hometown and in the capital, Hanyang, as they struggle to survive and reclaim their reputation. Though the series drew modest ratings during its January-to-February run, critics praised it as a carefully crafted period drama. Much of the production was filmed at the Korean Folk Village in Seoul, lending authenticity to its portrayal of the era.
