Geheime Reichssache(1988)

Geheime Reichssache is a German historical drama set in Berlin during 1937–38, when Adolf Hitler moved to consolidate power over the Wehrmacht. The military leadership posed a threat to his ambitions for war, so Hitler orchestrated their removal through calculated scandal. He engineered the downfall of Reich War Minister Werner von Blomberg by exposing his marriage to a woman with a compromising past, then destroyed Army Chief of Staff Werner von Fritsch through accusations of homosexuality. The film examines how Hitler weaponized personal secrets and social prejudice to eliminate rivals and secure unchecked control over Germany's armed forces during the critical months before World War II.
