Joshua Jones(1991)

Joshua Jones is a Welsh stop-motion children's series created by Bumper Films. Originally broadcast in Welsh on S4C in 1991, it was translated to English and picked up by the BBC the following year. The show follows the cheerful Joshua Jones, who lives aboard a canal boat with his dog Fairport. Together they navigate Clearwater Canal, delivering goods and completing tasks for the residents of Biggott's Wharf. Joshua works for three bosses: Baboo Karia, a retired Indian admiral; Datsa Karia, Baboo's daughter-in-law; and the ambitious Wilton Cashmore. His friends include Joe Laski, a Hungarian farmer with a horse named Trojan; Ravi Karia, Baboo's grandson; and Fiona, Cashmore's more principled daughter. The series captures the gentle adventures and friendships that bloom along the waterway.
