Live & Kicking(1993)

Live & Kicking was a BBC Saturday morning children's magazine series that ran from 1993 to 2001. Following in the footsteps of Going Live!, the show mixed phone-ins, games, comedy sketches, competitions and cartoon segments to entertain young viewers. The series found its stride in the second run and peaked during series four, when presenters Zoë Ball and Jamie Theakston took the helm. Their final episode earned a BAFTA award, cementing the show's cultural impact. However, ratings declined after the launch of rival ITV programme SMTV Live, leading to the series' cancellation in 2001. Live & Kicking remains a nostalgic touchstone for British children's television of the 1990s.
