Eesti otsib superstaari

Eesti otsib superstaari is an Estonian reality-competition series that airs on TV3. Part of the global Idol franchise, the show debuted in March 2007 and has become one of Estonia's most popular television programs. The format searches for the country's best singer through nationwide auditions, with viewers voting by phone and SMS to determine the competition's later stages. Past winners include Birgit Õigemeel, Jana Kask, Ott Lepland and Liis Lemsalu. A panel of judges—including singer Maarja-Liis Ilus, conductor and actor Mart Sander, and music critic Mihkel Raud—evaluates contestant performances throughout the competition. The show's roots trace back to Simon Fuller's original Pop Idol format, which launched in the United Kingdom in 2001.
