Chickens(2013)
Chickens is a British comedy set during the First World War in a quiet English village. While the nation's soldiers fight abroad, three young men stay behind: George, a conscientious objector; Cecil, rejected for service due to flat feet; and Bert, a self-admitted coward. Unable to serve on the front lines, the trio turns their energy inward, engaging in constant bickering and conflict with one another. The series explores the tensions and social pressures facing those left behind during wartime, blending humor with the awkwardness of men deemed unfit or unwilling to fight. Their domestic struggles mirror the larger upheaval of the era, offering a satirical look at masculinity, duty, and belonging during Britain's darkest hours.
