Ngao Asoke(2008)

Ngao Asoke is a Thai drama following Monthai Mahataweit, an 18-year-old from an elite family whose life takes a dramatic turn when his mother pressures him to marry Viyada Hiranwat before studying abroad. Monthai is handsome, well-educated, and the only son of wealthy official Jao Khun Mahat and Khun Ying Tap Tim. Though he and Viyada are already lovers, their engagement becomes a point of family obligation rather than choice. As Monthai navigates the expectations of his prestigious household and his impending departure overseas, he must confront what he truly wants versus what his family demands. The series explores themes of duty, romance, and the tension between personal desire and social status in Thai society.
