Gilligan's Planet(1982)

Gilligan's Planet is a Saturday morning cartoon that aired on CBS during the 1982–1983 season. Produced by Filmation and MGM/UA Television, it's the second animated adaptation of the beloved sitcom Gilligan's Island, following The New Adventures of Gilligan. The series marked Filmation's final Saturday morning production before the studio shifted exclusively to syndication. It was also the first Filmation series to feature Lou Scheimer's signature credit and the last to retain Charley Douglass's adult laugh track, which the studio later abandoned as it moved toward more dramatic, action-oriented cartoons. In 2012, Animation World Network ranked Gilligan's Planet among the 57 greatest animated television series ever made.
