Hibana: Spark is a Japanese series following Tokunaga, a struggling comedian who encounters Kamiya, a brilliant and compassionate older performer, at a fireworks festival in Atami. Moved by their meeting, Tokunaga begs to become Kamiya's apprentice. Kamiya agrees, but only if Tokunaga will write his biography. The series traces their unlikely mentorship as Tokunaga learns the craft of comedy from a master while documenting Kamiya's life and philosophy. Set against Japan's comedy scene, Hibana explores ambition, artistic growth, and the bonds formed between teacher and student. It's a warm, character-driven drama about finding your voice and honoring those who shape you.
