Under Military Law is a Ukrainian drama series set in July 1941, as Nazi forces close in on Kyiv. A specialized investigative unit operates on two fronts: pursuing cases at the frontline while combating a surge of criminal activity within the city itself. As German saboteurs infiltrate Kyiv's streets, local criminals exploit the chaos for profit, and Soviet officials collaborate with occupiers for personal gain. The series follows this squad as they navigate the moral complexities of wartime investigation amid collapsing order, corruption, and the fog of invasion. Tension builds between duty, survival, and the impossible choices demanded by total war.
