Honey Girls(2017)

Honey Girls is a German series set in the summer of 1986, following sisters Catrin and Maja Streesemann as they escape their Erfurt home for a holiday at Lake Balaton in Hungary. Their first taste of freedom quickly becomes complicated when Catrin befriends the charming Rudi and falls for Tamás, the Hungarian hotel manager, only for Maja to kiss him first. The sisters' bond fractures as jealousy takes hold. Meanwhile, their mother Kirsten receives an ominous call from Hungary and convinces their father Karl to pursue them in the family Trabant. Unbeknownst to the girls, the Stasi's Balaton Brigade—spies posing as holidaymakers—watches the resort for East Germans attempting to escape to the West. As family tensions simmer and surveillance tightens, the sisters face their most dangerous summer yet.
