Less Than Kind is a Canadian comedy-drama series following Sheldon Blecher, a teenager navigating life in a loving but chaotic Jewish family in Winnipeg's North End. His parents run a struggling driving school from their home while managing the everyday friction of family life. Jesse Camacho stars as Sheldon, alongside Maury Chaykin and Wendel Meldrum as his parents, with Benjamin Arthur and Nancy Sorel rounding out the ensemble cast. The show premiered on Citytv in October 2008 before moving to HBO Canada. Critically acclaimed, the series won multiple Canadian Comedy Awards and took home the Gemini Award for Best Comedy Program or Series in 2010, plus the inaugural Best Comedy Series award at the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards.
